2010 Spring Boys Travel AAU Team
Tryouts
This is the second year of a two year team cycle. Players will be trying
out for spots on the other teams that maybe open because some players have
chosen not to comeback or new teams starting up this year. All new players for
the 2010 season must tryout. All players should try to make both tryouts and
wear a jersey with the players name and number on the back.
Most Tournaments Within 3 Hours of the Scranton Area
Each Player Will Receive The Following
At least 30 Hours Of Practice Time With A Paid Coach.
Uniform That Will Be A Reversible Jersey And A Pair Of Shorts
Cost $460.00 This is a slight increase from last year.

TRYOUT DATES
Tryout fee of $25.00 This fee is not applicable to any other fees you may
occur if you make the team.

Tryouts
Coaches will be on hand at tryouts to determine if a potential player has the
necessary fundamental skills or raw talent to succeed in our AAU Program.
Selections will be based on coach’s evaluation of performance during the
tryout period. Our goal is to make you a better player. A regular AAU roster
consists of 15 players. It is our intention to have only 10 or 11 players on
each team, to allow us to give you the most game experience possible. Coaches
and staff decisions are final as to which players will be on which teams.
There is NO MANDATORY FUNDRAISING you may choose to sell advertising if you
want.
THE PLAYING SEASON:
The "spring season" begins as soon as school ball is over and the teams are
selected. Tournaments are played mostly on Saturdays & Sundays from the end of
March to the end of May. Tournaments are usually 3-4 games per weekend.
Travel AAU team Costs
If selected to a team the Cost is $460.00. The first payment of $260.00
will be due upon selection. Balance will be due in 30 days. This fee covers
Tournament entries, AAU Fees, Uniforms, Insurance, Coaches pay and travel
expenses and Court Rentals Fees. Per Tournament entry fees alone cost us
anywhere from $375-600 or more per team.
