Coach Bios

Coach Patrick Heaton a Connecticut Native, completed his BS in
English at New
England College, New Hampshire in 1992. Heaton lead New England’s Men
Basketball Team for 3 years as Captain.
Heaton is coming off his 1st season as head coach of Pocono Mountain East
after 4 seasons as Head Coach of Mountain View High School where his
teams were 75-36 with 2 league titles and 2 state tournament appearances.
Before Mountain View, he spent 3 seasons as the Head Coach at Atlantic
Cape Community College, 5 seasons as assistant coach at Lackawanna
College, and 2 seasons as the JV coach at New Fairfield HS in Connecticut.
Coach Anthony Ross is a 2000 graduate of Dieruff High School and
holds the
school record for All-Time Leading Scorer as a basketball player.
After graduation Ross attended Lackawanna Junior College where he played
in the 2002 NJCAA II Championship. He later graduated from East
Stroudsburg University and was then hired as Assistant Coach for the men’s
team. Ross is currently the JV Coach for Pocono Mountain East.
Coach Peter Dyson is a 1997 Pocono Mountain High School graduate and
athlete.
Dyson played baseball at Juniata College before graduating in 2002. He
has been the Freshman Coach for the boy’s basketball team at Pocono
Mountain East for the past 2 years.
Coach Rich Williams
High School
3 year varsity basketball player at Pocono Mountain High School (1993-95) under
Coach Brad Pensyl. Holds records for career assists, assists in a game, &
assists in a season.
College
Member of 1995-96 Wilkes University basketball team that went 28-2, won the MAC
Championship, and reached the Final 8 of the NCAA D-III Tournament.
Coaching Experience
Has served as an assistant coach under Brad Pensyl at Pocono Mountain West High
School since it's opening 6 years ago. During that time West has compiled a
record of 136-44, has qualified for the District XI tournament every year, and
has won 3 out of the last 4 Mountain Valley Conference Championships.
Also serves as head 8th grade coach for Pocono Mountain West Junior High School.
During his 6 year tenure he has compiled a record of 90-16, has had two one-loss
seasons, and one undefeated season.
