West Scranton and JB Hoops alum Jane Joyce has been a major factor in the successful Albright women’s basketball program throughout the first three seasons of her college career.
Joyce has played all 83 Albright games during that time, starting 81 of them. As a junior during the 2016-17 season, Joyce was a second-team Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Conference all-star while running the offense for a team that went undefeated in league play and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
During a 64-54 win over Piedmont College to open the NCAA Tournament, Joyce played 38 of 40 minutes and finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Joyce averaged 8.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.3 steals on the season.
Albright reached the Sweet 16 of the national tournament in the 2015-16 season when Joyce was an honorable mention Commonwealth all-star.
Joyce made an immediate impact with the Lions. She scored a career-high 21 points against Lehman in November of her freshman year and went on to average 9.0 points and 6.0 rebounds that season.
