JB Hoops and Meyers alum Ryan Krawczeniuk is part of a 7-0 start during his senior season with the East Stroudsburg University men’s basketball team.
Krawceniuk, a 6-foot-2 guard who played one year at Mansfield University before spending the last three at East Stroudsburg, is one of the team’s top reserves.
The Warriors, picked third in a preseason poll of conference coaches, is 4-0 to share the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division lead with West Chester University. They have won their seven games overall by an average margin of 23.9 points.
Krawczeniuk has scored in double figures in four games. He had 13 points in 18 minutes in both the season-opening win at Clarion University and Saturday’s win over Seton Hill.
While playing 19.6 minutes per game, Krawczeniuk is averaging 8.4 points and 3.0 assists. He is 5-for-5 from the free throw line and is third on the team in both 3-pointers made (12) and assists.
Krawczeniuk ranked 18th in the PSAC with 3.1 assists per game and sixth with a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio as a sophomore. As a junior, he was East Stroudsburg leader in bench scoring and was the fourth-leading scorer overall on the team with an average of 9.2 points.
While Krawczeniuk was at Meyers, the Mohawks went 56-0 in the Wyoming Valley Conference to win four straight division titles. He scored more than 1,500 career points and earned all-star honors all four seasons.
