Honors continue to roll in for Bridgette Mann in the aftermath of a highly successful season leading the University of Scranton women’s basketball team.
The junior guard from Wallenpaupack and JB Hoops alum was named Mid-Atlantic Region Player of the Year by D3hoops.com Tuesday.
It was the second major award from D3hoops.com, which selected Mann as its Rookie of the Year for the 2015-16 season.
Mann led the Lady Royals with 15.3 points and 3.2 assists per game this season while also averaging 4.5 rebounds. The 1,000-point career scorer was named Player of the Year and playoff Most Valuable Player by the Landmark Conference.
The Lady Royals went 28-2, won the Landmark Conference and reached the Sweet 16.
Scranton’s season ended Friday with a 66-54, home-court loss to Bowdoin. Mann had 13 points and 5 assists in the loss.
