Toomey receives offer from Rider

JB Hoops Carra forward/center Victoria Toomey, who is heading into her senior year at Dunmore, has received an NCAA Division I basketball scholarship offer from a New Jersey college for the second straight week.

The reigning District 2 Player of the Year, according to NEPABasketball.com, visited and received an offer from Rider University this week. Her first offer came from Fairleigh Dickinson.

Toomey is coming off a pool all-star team effort at USJN U17 Nationals in her AAU finale. She led JB Hoops Carra to a first-place pool finish for the first time ever at the event, scoring a team 11 points per game.

Rider, located in Lawrenceville, went 10-8 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and finished 14-17 overall.
