JB Hoops alum Seth Callahan is averaging 18 points per game since returning to Susquehanna University men’s basketball starting lineup.
The 5-foot-11 senior guard from GAR was busy Wednesday and Saturday when Susquehanna found itself in consecutive overtime games.
Callahan played 37 minutes in a Wednesday loss to Misericordia and 42 of 45 in Saturday’s win over Juniata in the Landmark Conference opener.
After coming off the bench in the first three games of the season, Callahan led the River Hawks in scoring with 20 and 26 points in his first two starts. He had eight points, including three in overtime, in Saturday’s 72-64 victory.
Susquehanna is 3-3 overall, including 2-1 when Callahan starts.
Callahan had 20 points in his first start Nov. 20, helping Susquehanna hand Lycoming its first loss, 80-68. He had 26 in a 91-87 loss to Misericordia.
On the season, Callahan is averaging 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. He is shooting 24-for-52 (46.2 percent) from the floor, 7-for-25 (28.0 percent) from 3-point range and 16-for-20 (80.0 percent) from the line.
