JB Hoops alum J.C. Show reached the 1,000-point mark for his collegiate career Wednesday night when he scored eight points for Binghamton University in the second half of a 59-46 America East Conference loss at Stony Brook.
Show, a postgraduate student in his final year of eligibility, started his career at Bucknell University before sitting out a transfer season. He also missed half of his first Binghamton season with injury.
The 6-foot-3 guard from Abington Heights averaged 6.7 points as a freshman on a 19-win Bucknell team that advanced to the play in the National Invitational Tournament.
Show has averaged in double figures in scoring in all three seasons at Binghamton, including 10.4 points per game this season. He is shooting 35.1 percent from the floor, 34.3 percent on 3-pointers and 86.4 percent from the line.
After hitting two 3-pointers 38 seconds part early in the second half, Show surpassed the milestone on a contested turnaround jumper with 7:44 remaining.
Binghamton is 1-1 in the America East and 5-12 overall.
