ALUMNI REPORT: Basalyga receives sportsmanship award

Clay Basalyga’s college career concluded with a Middle Atlantic Conference
Freedom award.
The JB Hoops alum was the Wilkes University men’s basketball representative
on the MAC Freedom Winter Sportsmanship Team.
The 6-foot-3 senior guard from Abington Heights played in 16 games, making 6
starts for the 19-10 Colonels.
Basalyga averaged 1.3 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.4 assists as a senior.
During his career at Wilkes, Basalyga played in 87 games, including 26 as a
starter. He averaged 3.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists.
Basalyga remains involved in basketball, coaching and working at Backcourt
Hoops in Scranton.
