Semion played 10 games at Penn State

Kayleigh Semion played 38 minutes while appearing in 9 games for the Penn State women’s basketball team as a senior in the recently completed season.

The 5-foot-6 senior guard from Dunmore, who played in the JB Hoops AAU program, was added to the Penn State team as a walk-on early in her junior year. She made her debut in a Big Ten Tournament game against Illinois to end the 2017-18 season.

Semion missed her only five shots, all from 3-point range, while contributing five rebounds, three assists and a steal. She grabbed 3 rebounds in a career-high 13 minutes in a December game against St. Bonaventure.

At Dunmore, Semion started all 116 games of her career and scored 1,323 points.

Semion started out playing on the women’s club team at Penn State in the 2015-16 school year. She served as team manager for the varsity squad as a sophomore and during the fall semester of her junior season before earning a spot on the team roster.
