Lauren Charlton drained four 3-pointers and went 4-for-4 from the line Friday morning while leading the JB Hoops National girls team to a 49-38 victory over the Jersey Cardinals 2020 and into the Prague Division title game at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago.
JB Hoops finished 5-0 to place first in Pool A after also winning two games each on Wednesday and Thursday. It will play for Pool B winner Friends of Hoops (FOH) Seattle for the Prague title.
Jersey led, 22-21, at halftime with each team hitting four 3-pointers in the first half.
Charlton, a 6-foot rising senior from Dallas, made three of her 3-pointers and scored 11 points in the second half when JB Hoops outscored the Cardinals, 28-16.
Cecelia Collins had seven of her 10 points in the second half when she hit her second 3-pointer. Rachael Rose had six of her seven points in the second half.
Lindsey Welsh made a pair of 3-pointers in the first half.
The win, the team’s eighth straight, improved JB Hoops to 20-1 in live events this season.
