Gearhart contributing at Clarkson
JB Hoops alum Blake Gearhart is contributing off the bench while helping the Clarkson University men’s basketball team improve on its performance from a year ago.
Gearhart went 3-for-3 and scored 10 points in his second college game Nov. 15, a 73-65 victory over Alfred State.
The 6-foot-1 freshman guard from Delaware Valley has played 71 minutes in 5 games, producing 15 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists in that time.
Clarkson won the Alfred State Tip-Off Tournament as part of its 2-3 start, one year after losing its first nine games and finishing 6-19.
Gearhart hit a 3-pointer for a 62-60 lead in the second half of an 80-72 loss Nov. 19 against Oswego State.
Clarkson is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III school located near the Canadian border in St. Lawrence, N.Y. Its next game is Dec. 6 at Union.
