Bianchi leading Cougars

JB Hoops player Skylar Bianchi is the leading scorer during Valley View’s 4-2 girls basketball start.

Bianchi, who is averaging 15 points per game, earned the PNC Bank Player of the Game award Thursday for her performance in a 61-58 road victory over defending District 2 Class 2A champion Holy Cross.

The PNC Bank Player of the Game selection was in conjunction with the NEPABasketball.com/NEPA’s ESPN radio broadcast of the game.

Holy Cross had come into the game with an unbeaten record.

Bianchi helped get Valley View into the lead, then clinched the win by going 4-for-4 from the line in the final 20 seconds.

The junior forward/center led the Cougars with 20 points. She also grabbed 14 rebounds, including 10 on the defensive end and blocked three shots.
