Fans can follow Tinsley, Binghamton online

With George Tinsley continuing to play a prominent role at Binghamton University, local fans have the opportunity to follow the JB Hoops alum online in TV-style broadcasts on the ESPN networks.

Binghamton’s 10 home games can be seen on ESPN3 or ESPN+. Tim Heiman provides the play-by-play and JB Hoops co-founder Doug Walsh from South Abington Township handles the color commentary for the Binghamton home games.

Tinsley ranks third among National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I players with 38.4 minutes played per game. He had a double-double in points and rebounds Wednesday night when Binghamton lost to defending Patriot League champion Colgate, 82-74, moving him into a tie for 20th nationally with four double-doubles on the season.

The 6-foot-6 freshman forward from Abington Heights had 13 points and team-highs of 13 rebounds and 3 steals in Wednesday’s loss.

Tinsley averages 12.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocked shots. He leads the team in rebounds and blocked shots. He has twice been named America East Rookie of the Week.

Binghamton (4-5) is coached by Dunmore graduate Tommy Dempsey.
