Nate Kreitzer is picking up momentum less than a month into his college career.
The JB Hoops alum has put his two highest-scoring games together back-to-back in the past week at Misericordia University.
Kreitzer scored 21 points Wednesday in a 60-57 win at Neumann University. He came back with 15 more Saturday in an 89-79 loss at Marywood University.
The 5-foot-8 freshman guard from Nanticoke is part of a young lineup trying to improve as the season progresses.
The win over Neumann was the second straight for the Cougars, who are 3-5 after losing to Marywood.
Kreitzer, who has started every game, increased his scoring average from 7.8 to 10.4 in the last two games.
Against Neumann, Kreitzer was 6-for-9 on 3-pointers and also finished with six rebounds and four assists. He had a new high for assists with five against Marywood.
Kreitzer leads the team in assists with 3.0 per game and steals with 2.2. He also averages 2.6 rebounds while shooting 38.2 percent from the floor, 40.5 percent from beyond the arc and 73.7 percent from the line.
