JB Hoops alum Rasheed Moore is again leading his WIHA Panthers Villingen-Schwenningen team in German professional basketball.
The former Meyers High School and East Stroudsburg University player is the top scorer at 15.8 points per game during the team’s 3-8 season.
Moore is in his third season playing professionally in Germany, all with the same club.
In Moore’s rookie season, he was Most Valuable Player of the country’s fourth division, leading Schwenningen to a 26-1 record and South-West Division title. He averaged 21.4 points and 7.4 rebounds to lead the team to a promotion to the third division.
The Panthers advanced to the league semifinals in the 2018-19 season, falling to Muenster, 86-83, despite a 28-point effort from Moore in the deciding game of the best-of-three series.
Moore is averaging 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
At East Stroudsburg, Moore ranked fourth in school history with 1,776 points and was the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II school’s first four-time all-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference all-star.
The 6-foot-6 forward, who helped East Stroudsburg to an 88-30 record while starting in 113 of those games, ranks among the school’s all-time leaders in several other statistical categories, including fourth in rebounds with 775.
