Seth Maxwell is no longer playing alongside his older brother Evan, but the JB Hoops alum continues to excel at Indiana Wesleyan University.
With Evan Maxwell graduated and playing professional basketball in Slovakia, Seth Maxwell has moved into a regular spot in the starting lineup as a sophomore center.
The 7-footer has proven to be a force on both ends of the court for the nation’s third-ranked National Intercollegiate Athletic Association Division II team.
Seth Maxwell leads the team with 31 offensive rebounds in 9 games and is the runaway leader in blocked shots with 30 of the team’s 42 on the season.
Indiana Wesleyan is 8-2, including a forfeit win, after going on the road to beat 15th-ranked St. Francis of Indiana Tuesday night.
Maxwell was held to nine points and four rebounds in the latest win, but has produced at a much-higher rate throughout the season.
The Abington Heights graduate is second on the team in points (16.2 per game), rebounds (7.8 per game), field goal percentage (53.9) and free throw percentage (74.1).
Maxwell was a Crossroads League all-rookie team selection last season.
