Four JB Hoops alumni wrapped up their high school basketball careers by earning spots on NEPABasketball.com’s all-District 2 team.
Kieran Burrier from Holy Cross, Jack Farrell from Dallas, Jeremy Callahan from Wyoming Seminary and Corey Perkins from Abington Heights were all multi-year divisional all-stars who led their teams to first-place finishes during the 2019-20 season.
Burrier, Callahan and Perkins played for the JB Hoops Callahan National team in 2019. It was the second year on that team for Callahan and Perkins.
Farrell played for the JB Hoops Maddock Regional team.
Burrier, one of just two players to make both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 all-District 2 team, moved up from second team to first team. He was also named Lackawanna League Division 3 Player of the Year after leading the Crusaders to the division title and a District 2 Class 2A championship.
Farrell joined Burrier on the first team. The East Stroudsburg University commit led Dallas to a four-way tie for first-place in Division 1 of the Wyoming Valley Conference.
The Mountaineers fell short of a division title in a playoff, but wound up being the last District 2 team standing in the state playoffs. Dallas, a Class 5A team, reached the quarterfinals of the state tournament before the rest of the event was canceled by the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association because of the coronavirus.
Callahan, who committed to Case Western Reserve University, and Perkins, who committed to Marywood University, were named to the second team after leading championship repeats.
Wyoming Seminary and Callahan won WVC Division 2 and overall titles.
Abington Heights and Perkins won Division 1 of the Lackawanna League.
