Coyle wins second game in Downingtown
Justice Shoats scored 23 points to lead the way Saturday night when the NEPA Elite Coyle 17U boys defeated YSU Elite, 78-53, to finish 1-1 in the first day of The Origin, a Marquee Sports event at the United Sports Complex in Downingtown.
Ethan Meuser hit three 3-pointers while scoring 11 points. Cole Walker added 10.
Shoats is a rising junior at Holy Redeemer. Meuser is from Wyoming Seminary and Walker is from Wilkes-Barre Area.
Team Final Red overcame a halftime deficit to defeat the NEPA Elite, 56-48, earlier in the day.
Christian Fermin, a junior forward from Pocono Mountain West, led NEPA Elite with 16 points.
Meuser added nine points.
Fermin and Tunkhannock’s Ryan Harder each made a pair of 3-pointers.
The event concludes Sunday.
