The win was the second of the day for the Clark team, which will also play twice Sunday.

Dunmore High School teammates Toomey and Murray were a big part of the balanced attack that helped NEPA Elite put up some impressive offensive numbers.

NEPA Elite shot 54.5 percent (24-for-44) from the floor, 69.2 percent (9-for-13) on 3-pointers and 91.3 percent from the line (21-for-23) while committing just 13 turnovers despite playing an extra two minutes in tense circumstances.

Toomey led four players scoring in double figures and also led the team in assists and blocked shots.

NEPA Elite had a total of eight players score at least five points.

Toomey scored 14 points, going 8-for-9 from the line, and dished out 6 assists while blocking 4 shots.

Scranton Prep’s Rachael Rose had 10 points.

The four double-figures scorers were a combined 14-for-22 (63.6 percent) from the floor, 6-for-9 (66.7) on 3-pointers and 15-for-16 (93.8) from the line.

NEPA Elite needed that accuracy.

Binghamton University commit Ella Wanzer went 5-for-9 on 3-pointers while scoring a game-high 28 points to lead I-90 Elite.

Cecelia Collins chipped in eight points, Olivia Ciullo seven, Skylar Bianchi six and Kaeli Romanowski five.

I-90 Elite led much of the game up to the midway point of the first half.

Once Toomey scored four straight points for the lead and Rose followed with a 3-pointer to make it 26-22, NEPA Elite held the lead for more than 22 minutes and never trailed again.

Murray’s 3-pointer with 2:10 left made it 70-65, but I-90 scored the next five points.

A steal and breakaway by Lavelle put NEPA Elite ahead with 32 seconds left, but Wanzer’s runner over Toomey beat the regulation buzzer to force overtime.

Murray opened the overtime scoring with a 3-pointer, but I-90 answered.

Collins hit what proved to be the winning 3-pointer with 54 seconds left.

The win was not secured until NEPA Elite safely in-bounded the ball four times in the final five seconds while I-90 fouled.

Collins is from Scranton Prep. Ciullo is from Old Forge, Bianchi from Valley View and Romanowski from Western Wayne.
