14U boys win twice, will play for pool title
The NEPA Elite 14U boys went 2-0 Saturday and are one game away from a pool championship and a division title shot at the Hoop Group Fall Junior Jam Fest at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim Township, Lancaster County.
NEPA Elite defeated Virginia Elite, 62-36, in its first Pool C game of the 14U Spooky (2025) Division. Corey Joyce’s team then topped East Coast Power-Horvath, 51-31.
Those two wins set up Sunday’s 10:45 a.m. game with G State Bounce Elite, which beat the same two opponents Saturday. G State Bounce Elite had a similar first day, beating those teams by a combined 53 points, compared to NEPA Elite’s wins by 36 points.
There were 10 teams vying for the 14U Spooky title.
Pool C is the only one with four teams. Its champion advances directly to the overall division title game against the winner of a semifinal between the Pool A and Pool B winners.
The division championship game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
