Northeastern extends offer to Murray
Moriah Murray helped the NEPA Elite Clark 17U girls finish off a Hoop Group Showcase League championship Sunday afternoon.
Monday morning, Murray received her latest scholarship offer.
Northeastern University in Boston became the latest National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I women’s basketball program to offer a scholarship to the junior shooting guard from Dunmore High School.
Murray previously received offers from Drexel, St. Joseph’s and Binghamton.
The Clark team went 25-4 in its first season with Murray leading the team in 3-pointers made.
At Dunmore, Murray is already a two-time, first-team, all-state selection, who was runner-up in voting for the Pennsylvania Class 3A Player of the Year in the 2019-20 season.
Northeastern went 13-16 in the 2019-20 season, including 9-9 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
