Description

Who: BOYS Divisions from 4th to 8th Grade. 4th & 5th Grade will play on 8.5 foot baskets. 6th-8th will play 10 foot.
GIRLS Divisions from 4th to 8th Grade. 4-5th Grade will play on 8.5 ft baskets, 5-6TH , 7th & 8th Grade Divisions will play on 10 foot baskets.
Players on Teams must be from the same Town/City or School District
What: Holiday Basketball Tournament
Where: Backcourt Hoops
When: FIRST ROUND  December 26th Some games may start early afternoon & 27th Games are in the evening after 4. SECOND ROUND December 28th-30th Games are in the evening after 4pm , CHAMPIONSHIPS & consolation December 31st in the morning.
Why: Compete against other quality teams in a well-run and organized Holiday Tournament . All games utilize a stopped clock and are officiated by PIAA referees.

Additional Info:

  • Cost $105 per team with a 2 game guarantee.  A discounted price of $95 is offered for teams from the same school or organization if paid for at the same time.  5 or more teams email for special pricing.
  • Teams should check www.backcourthoops.com for updates during inclement weather.
  • Each team must supply a scorekeeper or clock operator.
  • Coaches should plan to bring their own basketballs. Basketballs will not be provided.
  • Courts open 15 minutes prior to the first game of the evening.

CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT RULES

All Divisions Mercy Rule Clock will run last 4:00 Minutes if a team is leading by 20 points

8TH GRADE & 7TH GRADE BOYS&GIRLS ALL PIAA RULES EXCEPT

8TH GRADE 15-MINUTE HALVES

7TH GRADE 14-MINUTE HALVES

                             2 FULL TIMEOUTS PER GAME

                             1 30 SECOND TIMEOUT PER HALF

NO PRESSING WHEN UP BY 20 POINTS

                             GIRLS WILL USE 28.5 BALL

 

6TH GRADE 13-MINUTE HALVES

                             ALL PIAA RULES EXCEPT
